:. Mapping of marine species and habitats of the northwestern part of Dugi otok, Croatia
Association Sunce conducted mapping of marine species and habitats of waters in the area of important landscape of the northwestern part of Dugi otok. Study objective was to make inventory and map of marine biodiversity of this area and to explore current state of posidonia meadows (Posidonia oceanica). Field research was conducted in two occasions, in total duration of 16 days, in period of 7th till 25th of June and 15th till 23rd of September 2009. In total 44 locations were mapped by scuba diving, data as well as photo-documentation were collected. Research was implemented by volunteers and employees of Association Sunce: Dajana Brajčić, Katarina Božanić, Srđana Rožić, Anamarija Vrbatović, Ivana Bušelić, Stela Lađarević, Martina Marić (Bius), Maša Frleta – Valić (Bius), Tomislav Bartulović, Marin Perčić te Zrinka Jakl. All results were integrated in GIS system and together with the expert study given to the Public institution for management of protected areas of Zadar County. Research was financed by the EU project „Strengthening of Institutions for Protected Areas-SIPA“ and cofinanced by the project COAST.
